You absolutely need this incredible Museum-quality 1980s Timney Fowler for Go Silk blouse.
This piece has a plethora of vintage novelty print designs, including targets, antique maps, dollar signs, antique compasses, astronomy drawings, and even Big Ben.
It includes hues of purple, light green, copper, black, white, and more. We think it's perfect when paired with a huge gold necklace or any form of statement jewelry. It's lightweight, classically cool, and looks awesome with a pair of jeans.
Famous for their neo-classical textiles, the British husband and wife design team behind Timney Fowler worked with YSL, Issey Miyake, and Yohji Yamamoto.
Today, the company mainly makes wallpapers and fabrics for home furnishings and decor. These shirts are rare and collectible, and this may be one of a kind. Some of these blouses were displayed in London’s Fashion and Textile Museum. Famous clients include Elton John, Ringo Starr, and Miranda Richardson.
This silk blouse closes with buttons in the front, and has one button underneath the collar that you may use for complete coverage.
It also works well unbuttoned to your liking or worn open over a black tank top/shirt.
This vintage 1980s Timney-Fowler blouse is in excellent vintage condition.
Only flaws are indicated in photos:
- Tiny pull in silk near front center buttons
- Small markings on map in back, minor
I also sewed on an extra button included with the original shirt, one was missing.
While this vintage neoclassical print shirt is marked as a size Petite, in true 1980s style, it is meant to be worn oversized.
It likely best fits a US medium-large to large. Please see the exact measurements below to ensure a proper fit.
Shoulder to Shoulder: 20"
Length of Blouse: 29"
