Have you always had a thing for 1940s fashion? Looking for the perfect outfit for a popular vintage event like the Twinwood Festival or the Jazz Age Lawn Party?
Just curious about wartime fashion and need a curve-hugging, show-stopping dress?
If so, then this stunner of a vintage 40s dress is perfect for you. It has a floral novelty print, is brown, yellow, white, and pink, and would look excellent with a hat, a 40s purse, and of course, gloves.
The dress looks just as great on its own as it does with accessories.
It closes with a zip at the side (I believe the zipper has been replaced) and has a dainty button at the back. It has a tight fit, so perfect for showing your stuff in a classy, elegant way!
This vintage 1940s dress is in good vintage condition, with a few quite minor flaws.
As shown in the photos:
- Small tear underneath the armpit, easy fix
- Small tear at hip seam on the left-hand side, as shown
I only didn't stitch them myself because how you stitch them up will depend on your unique shape/comfort preference. I estimate this fix to cost roughly $15 from a tailor, but it's quite simple to do it on your own, as well.
Other than that, fabulous vintage condition.
This vintage floral print 40s dress likely best fits a modern US size small, perhaps a 2-4 max. However, please do see exact measurements below to get a better idea.
Waist: 26" no wiggle room
Hips: 38" has a tiny bit of wiggle room but not much
Total Length of Dress: 44"
